Mary Balistreri offers a variety of coaching and professional development services to individuals and organizations focused on harnessing strengths to grow talent and develop more business. Mary’s approach is goal driven, focusing on measurable results and developing actionable plans to move past obstacles that hold individuals, teams, and organizations back. Mary offers expertise in business development, team building, professional development, and leadership development coupled with strategies to improve conversational and emotional intelligence to support clients in achieving their goals.
She is a certified Leadership & Talent Management Coach, a certified Conversational Intelligence (CIQ) Coach, a certified diversity and belonging facilitator, and earned a certificate in DEI in the Workplace from the University of South Florida, Muma College of Business.
Mary brings more than 20 years as a business development professional working with professional services firms to her coaching and training engagements. She started her career as a journalist after earning a BA in Mass Communications-Print Journalism. She wrote for a number of Wisconsin news outlets until taking a detour for five years to co-create Circlestage, a musical theater-in-the-round experience. At Circlestage, she ran all aspects of the business of the company including managing performers, public relations, finances, and working with the artistic director and board of directors to create a 501(c) (3).
Mary’s business, MBT More Business Today LLC, is a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) through the WBENC (Women’s Business Enterprise National Council) and a certified WOSB (Woman Owned Small Business). A director on the NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners) Chicago board as the representative of Wisconsin, she is a member of ICF (International Coach Federation), and ATD (Association for Talent Development).
Mary enjoys arts of all kinds, gardening, and baking. She lives in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin with her husband Steve Thompson, a pressure point massage therapist, son Owen Thompson, who works with 3D modeling and computers, and a houseful of pets.
